As a group of Christians, we take the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as the basis of our mission. Therefore, we seek out and touch others with the good news of Christ's love.

Through our involvement in congregational life and in small groups, we nurture and disciple one another and serve others in the Richmond community and in the world at large.

Our congregation, which began in 1955, values the diversity of its members, who come from all walks of life and all parts of the Richmond metropolitan area.

Our membership covenant includes ten belief statements. The first is printed below. Others include the importance of scripture, the nature of the church, financial priorities, etc.

We believe God has called us together to be a new humanity
drawn from all races and nations.
We believe Jesus Christ was the complete expression
of God's life and love on earth,
that Jesus is Lord of the universe, and
He has called us to be His disciples.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God's power and presence
within us and among us
enabling us to be God's people.
